Erika Stride is demanding better for Portishead East this May

Erika is a community nurse passionate about tackling health inequalities in North Somerset, allowing people to live healthier and happier lives.

Erika is an advocate for disability awareness and desperately wants to improve SEND Education for children in and around Portishead.

Disabled people have disproportionately been affected by the closures of banks and post offices in Portishead, and Erika wants to make it easier for a Community Banking Hub to be set up in Portishead. Erika believes it's time for a Fair Deal for Portishead East, investing in frontline services, and social care, and doing more to fix our broken public transport system in Portishead.

Erika is passionate about tackling inequalities locally. She supports the delivery of housing, with more affordable housing to support local residents. Erika want to live in a greener, fairer and more open town.

Erika and the Lib Dem Team's Positive Plan for Portshead:

1) We live in a beautiful area and it is vital that we protect it. The local Lib Dems have secured investment in our local parks, and have fought against climate change.
2) The Lib Dems are keen to see more investment in our town. New and improved community facilities should be a priority. They will always work to protect local services from cuts to funding. Our lib dem candidates want investment in a Community Banking Hub locally.
3) Linking Portishead and Pill to Bristol with a railway would reduce congestion and improve air quality. We have secured the future of this project and will keep up the pressure to get work started.
